Teacher appreciation week is here! I love giving gifts, and what better way to show your child’s teacher they’re appreciated than with a thoughtful little gift?
I’m always trying to think of something outside the box. So Mother’s Day is also right around the corner, and I grabbed a tote bag to put my mom’s gift in (and one for me because the daisy print is too cute too resist!) and I thought this would be cute to put a teacher gift in as well but maybe a mini version! I found mini ones at Hobby Lobby. They had the classic beige color, black, white and multicolored 4 packs for only $2.99 each!
So for the goodies inside…I know teacher’s love gift cards, I mean who doesn’t?! So I grabbed a Dunkin’ Donuts gift card, a cute little notebook I found at HomeGoods, and hand sanitizer and lotion from Target. Thread Mama always has the prettiest printables and so I purchased her teacher appreciation set and printed the fun backing to add the gift card on to! I also printed a few of the little tags to add as embellishments (which is always my favorite part).
Makes it so much cuter!
To step the bag up a notch, I cut the handles off and replaced them with pretty ribbon I found at Hobby Lobby.
Patches are all the rage right now, so I also grabbed some initial patches from Hobby Lobby to adhere to the bags as well.
I tried to iron the patch on but it wasn’t working well so I hot glued the patch and the ribbon straps as well.
Placed everything inside and attached the ribbon and flags and it’s done! Pretty simple but I think by adding the little extras it makes it look that much more special!
All of this was actually pulled off as a last minute gift! I grabbed everything over the weekend and put it together. Hope this gives all of the rest of the last minute Nancy’s some inspo, and proves that you can give a pretty and thoughtful gift with not a lot of time (or money)!
Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to all of the teachers!
