Redecorating with Carpet One Floor & Home

If you follow me on Instagram, then you probably know my love for home décor and decorating--especially for holidays! But I love to refresh spaces as well. So for instance, in between holidays, sometimes I like to give a room or space a little revamp by maybe repainting, adding wallpaper, or swapping out a rug, usually followed by adding in a few décor pieces because that's always fun! I don't do it all the time, but if it's been a while and I'm craving something new, or it's been a while and I'm inspired by something, then a refresh might be coming!

Lately I've been working on revamping the living room. We finally painted (goodbye tired gray and white stripes) and got a new couch after 8 years! There are lots of things that tie a room together like paint and furniture, but also, flooring. Flooring is important and I think it can sometimes make or break a space! There are so many options out there but when you find a place that has it all, like Carpet One Floor & Home, you can't go wrong! Especially when they have options that already coordinate with what you have planned or going on! They carry an endless variety of high quality on-trend flooring for all styles and budgets. They are the largest floor covering buying cooperative in North America with over 1,000 independently owned and operated locations all throughout the US and Canada.

The flooring samples Carpet One sent over are laid out here on top of our new couch and I think any of these picks would work perfectly in our newly styled space. Some of the extras their designers paired with the samples like the Benjamin Moore paint swatches are very on trend seeing that we painted the living room Alabaster by Benjamin Moore and sure enough that color was in there! Something else on trend is wicker--things like baskets, chairs, and even tables in sea grass, rattan, and wicker material are so in. I personally love things made from these materials because it brings in so much texture and warmth to a room. I put these types of textured items in most of my spaces.

All of the samples work well with wicker but for the mood board I created for the living room I chose to use the Luxury Vinyl in the style Ralston Creek and the color Compton as well as the carpet style Chambord II in the color Oatmeal. Both of these seem to really complement the elements I have going on throughout the room.

They're both neutral and have a simple yet elegant design. They would look good in my space and many other spaces because of the color and design. The vinyl is textured and looks and feels very much like hardwood. The carpet is the perfect shade of off white and is so soft!

There are a lot of neutral colors going on within my mood board. Part of the reason is I like to keep bigger focal points like floor, walls, and furniture somewhat neutral in main spaces so that I can add in color when it's time to decorate for holidays. Or if I find throw blankets or pillows in a fun color or design when it's not a holiday I know it can fit in with what's already going on.

No matter what your style is though, these popular floor picks, or any of the many of options that Carpet One Floor & Home carries can elevate your space into a newly refreshed room that you'll never want to leave!

P.S. All of my mood board picks are either in my living room already, are a mini version of what's in there (like the I love you sign is a mini version of 2 larger similar looking canvases) or will be in the space soon i.e. the tiny mirror (I have my eye on a much larger similar looking one).
