Creamy Crockpot Hot Chocolate Recipe

'Tis the season! Am I right?! This hot chocolate is the perfect crowd pleaser! It's great for all the parties you may have coming up...Friendsgiving, Thanksgiving, Christmas or other holiday parties! This is a busy, and in some places, a cold season, so warm it up a bit by making this delicious hot chocolate! It's perfect because it makes a large batch which makes it suitable for a gathering. Or if your family just loves hot chocolate like mine does, it works for a cold snowy day too :)

This recipe makes the creamiest, most chocolatey hot chocolate you'll ever taste! So if that's your thing, you're going to want to make it soon because you won't stop thinking about it until you do!

It doesn't require a ton of ingredients and it's super simple! Doesn't get much better than that! The crockpot does all the work for you, so throw in all the ingredients and it's only about an hour or 2 until your sipping the most delicious drink!

So what you'll need is...

  • chocolate chips

  • sweetened condensed milk

  • milk

  • vanilla extract

  • toppings (optional)

This is actually perfect for a hot chocolate bar! The crockpot keeps the drink warm. Set up your favorite toppings around the pot, add a ladle for endless scooping, and enjoy! Some fun toppings I recommend for a hot chocolate bar are whipped cream, mini marshmallows, crushed peppermint, chocolate and white chocolate chips, crushed toffee, peppermint sticks, and lots and lots of sprinkles!! And...it tastes amazing with Bailey's! So if there are going to be adults at your party bring a bottle and they can add it to their own cup for an even better cup of cocoa lol. There are so many other things you can add as well...the possibilities are endless! If you have more fun topping ideas please let me know below!

Creamy Crockpot Hot Chocolate

  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips

  • 6 cups of milk (whichever type you normally drink is fine)

  • 1.5 cup sweetened condensed milk

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • toppings (optional)

  1. Turn your crockpot on high and pour in chocolate chips.

  2. Pour in milk, condensed milk, vanilla and stir gently.

  3. Place top on crockpot and let "cook" for an hour in a half to two hours, stirring every so often.

  4. Pour into cups, add favorite toppings and enjoy!

***Tip: Once you get to the bottom of the crockpot it is super creamy and kind of thick because it does settle a little, you may want to add a little more milk to thin it out, or not, up to you!

Of course I added my favorite sprinkles from Sprinkle Pop! I used the Oh Snow Cute Mix to add a festive little touch to my cup, how could I not with that adorable little snowman?

If you make this recipe let me know what you think! Hope you love it!

P.S.- If you love this mug as much as I do, you can find it here
